Tyres for Coolers

Tyres for Coolers are also called as “Tyres for Kilns” or “Ball Mill”. These two other name of Tyres of Coolers are the industry specific names. “Tyres for Coolers” are cylindrical in shape and these are the types of grinders. For grinding materials, like chemicals, ores, paints, raw materials etc. Tyre of Cooler is used.

Description of Tyres of Coolers
There is a horizontal axis around which the Tyre of Cooler rotates partially filled with grinding medium and the material to be ground. For medium, different types of materials are used. These materials include stainless steel balls, ceramic balls, flint pebbles etc. A down bottom effect works internally in the Tyre of Cooler, and this effect reduces the materials to fine powder. The flammable materials, like the black powder requires non-sparking antimony, bronze, or brass grinding media.

By feeding from one end, these Tyres of Coolers can be operated for a longer period of time. The other end of the coolers are used for discharging. The rotation process of the large to medium range Tyres of Coolers can be done through mechanically and these coolers rotate on their respective axises. In small Tyres of Coolers, the inbuilt cylindrical capped containers are found. These capped containers sit on the drive shafts and to transmit rotatory motion, belts and jackets are used.

Features of Tyres of Coolers
  • The working function of a small size Tyre of Coolers is very much similar to the rock tumbler.
  • The Tyre of Coolers are used in making black powder.
  • These are also used in pyrotechnics.
  • Few pyrotechnic mixtures can't be made by Tyres of Coolers, such as flash powder.
  • Some Tyres of Coolers are very expensive, but these coolers can grind the materials into very fine particles. The excessive fine size of the material particles increases the surface area and also the reaction rates.
